The following resources are designed to help faculty and academic advisors advise students who want to incorporate an international experience into their academic program. A successful education abroad experience involves a team of people working together to ensure that students' needs and interests are met. This "team" includes the student, faculty, parents, academic advisors, education abroad advisors, department chairs, program administrators, overseas staff and other units on campus (such as the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, the Office of the Registrar, and Business Affairs).
As an academic advisor, you play a key role in assisting students as they decide on an appropriate program and as they select courses they will take overseas to fulfill degree requirements here at OSU. The following resources will explain the program options available to students and how the Office of Global Opportunities works with students throughout each step of their education abroad program, from initial program research through reentry.
Please feel free to contact OSU GO anytime with questions you may have about education abroad opportunities.
