  • Waseda’s Summer Japanese Language Program is a four-week intensive Japanese language and culture program designed for beginner to advanced beginner learners.  
  • They offer three course levels. You can only choose one level, and you’ll need to select it when you submit your application. Visit Waseda’s Short-term Japanese Program for course details and guidance on selecting the best fit level.  
  • You will earn 2 semester credits (3 quarter credits) of Japanese language based on the table below.

To explore if Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) grading could be an option for you, talk with your academic advisor. To request S/U grading for courses abroad, you'll need to secure approval from your academic advisor and submit the S/U request form in your OSU GO portal before 70% of the course is complete.
